I had a great night Tuesday. I was invited to see Talib Kweli at the House of Blues. Honestly I'm not going to even lie to you all and say that he's a rapper that I tend to jam. After that night my mind has changed. I LOVED IT! Maybe its just the east coast "swag" (yes I hate that word also), or maybe its his wordplay. Dude has got it going on. He even did a short tribute to Guru of Gangstarr.
My only complaint is that Mos Def was NOWHERE to be found, when Talib starting rapping hits from their Black Star days. I mean, come one Mos...you live in New Orleans...whats the deal? All in all, I've now downloaded the majority of Talib's music, and I've started to follow his Twitter. He's found a fan in me, hopefully he doesn't mess it up with stupid rants on Twitter like some artists do.
