Its that time again. My favorite radio personality Wild Wayne had another informative Industry Influence last night. With performances by Louisiana Cash "Mr Walk Wit A Dip", Houston's own Killa Kyleon, and local artists Kourtney Heart, Britney, Nuthin But Fire Boys, 7th Ward Shorty, and Aqua Force it was quite an entertaining night.
DJ E.F. Cuttin was the usual fire DJ that he is, while they had a panel of internet bloggers, writers and contributers. Speaking words of wisdom to hopeful artists trying to break through into the market via web, and explaining the correct forms on how to do so.

Of course Wild Wayne along with Sess 4-5 opened the floor for discussion, so artists, managers, and publicists could ask the panel. Alot of questions were asked, some relevent, and some a tad bit pointless. Word of advice artists, when you're supposed to be asking a PANEL questions, DO NOT under any circumstances start singing or rapping trying to promote yourself. You never know who is in these Industry Influence's. You could have just ruined your chance before it was even given to you.

Performance for more well known local artists came next. I must say myself I was VERY excited to see up and coming R&B artist Kourtney Heart. Her new single "My Boy" featuring Magnolia Shorty is gaining momentum down here, and its good to finally see something other then just a hot flow.

Then came the contest they do for a cash prize $1000. Foutunatly Wayne asked me to sit on the judging panel to rep fuShion Mag. I was honored and quickly jumped at the chance to speak my opinion on what might be a big name artist one day. The performances were done and the grand prize winner was a talented rapper by the name of Big Body. He chose the correct single, had the best stage presence, and got the crowd to rock with him.
